To say that I’m excited for the holiday season is an understatement – I mean, I’m already writing this post. Now that Halloween is over, the holidays are fair game to me!! And I don’t know about you guys, but once holiday party season kicks into high gear, I don’t want to be scrambling to find outfits. One thing I do already have down is what holiday party evening bags I’ll be taking with me to every*clap*single*clap*party that comes around. But before I get to that, let me run down how my Halloween weekend went.
My girlfriend who I’ve known since college was in town, so three of us ladies (we like to call ourselves The Three Musketeers…and the Yaya Sisters) got together to go to this crazy pop up Halloween party called Manor 849 in Midtown. We bought tickets to the party because we lovvvvvve Erika Jayne, and she was performing there. I went as a Playboy Bunny from hell who tortures Hugh Hefner for objectifying women. LOL. And I went with the winning makeup look that you guys voted for on in my Instagram stories. Thanks for helping me choose!
We didn’t realize how awesome the whole party would be. There were sexy/scary scenes set up all around the party and tons of fabulous drag queens in the most amazing costumes you’ll ever see (check out some of them here). There was even someone with a TV on their head that played horror films! Erika slayyyyed per usual and we had a blast…and I didn’t get home until like 3am. That made binge-watching the entire season of Stranger Things on Sunday easy to do. Now I think I’m going through withdrawals!
Okay, so now that Halloween is over, let’s talk holiday party evening bags. I’ve got a go-to clutch that I bought at a vintage store years ago that’s going to be one of staples for the holiday season–it’s a staple for me year-round, in fact. I love the boxy structure, which is really in this year, but it’s timeless, really. I’m also coveting a drawstring pouch, which is like THE coolest evening bag style to come back everrrrr. My sister and I had matching bedazzled drawstring pouches when we were kids, so the nostalgia-factor is major. Plus, it’s like an effortless way to accessorize an outfit for the holidays. Below the images on this post are some boxy holiday party evening bags similar to mine and a some of my favorite drawstring pouches. Which pouch do you think I should get? — I think I’ll poll this on Instagram stories.
Which bag below do you like the best? Drop which is your favorite and why in the comments. I’ve been thinking I’ll do a giveaway with one of the favorites.
When it comes to adding holiday sparkle to my party outfits during this season, I…
