If I told you that you could get a treehouse massage in the middle of the mountains, would you believe me? What if I also told you that the treehouse is a tricked out grown-up version that also serves as an Airbnb? Yes. It exists. And it’s rustic magic.
When Rich and I were looking online for a cabin to stay at in Vermont, we came across The Beaver Pond Treehouse, a one-room cabin built in a tree. We ended up choosing a different cabin because we were bringing along Speedy. We didn’t want him leaping to his death to chase down a beaver (which he definitely would). However, when we were driving to check out a farmer’s market during our stay in Vermont, we saw a little sign along the road for Treehouse Massages. I was like, “Wait! That’s gotta be the place we looked at on Airbnb. And OMG, a massage in a treehouse?!”
So I looked up their website and reached out to Jammie, the massage therapist behind the treehouse massage magic. She and her engineer husband built the treehouse themselves, and his expertise shows. Jammie was kind enough to give me a tour and a full body massage. Let me tell you, it was both relaxing and incredibly helpful in treating a leg injury I got hiking a few months ago. And it was a mere $65 for an hour. I can’t tell you how cool it was to look out over a beaver pond and the fall foliage while she was doing this. Rich got a massage too. I read and watched for swimming beavers on the deck on the front of the treehouse while he got his. So fucking cool.
Below are some of the pictures of the treehouse and the property. If you’re traveling to Vermont, I highly recommend hitting this spot up, especially if you’re really outdoors-y. You can check it out here for the massage and also on Airbnb here.

{The owners have hooked up a heated shower from the fresh mountain brook running next to it. How amazing would it be to shower out in the open like this?!}
